網域名稱申請事宜
查詢想要的網域名稱是否可以申請
- 使用whois 命令進行查詢(whois for windows):
- .tw 結尾的domain name: TWNIC網域名稱註冊系統([1])首頁的查詢服務
- google domain.com (ex)
- domaintools.com ex: http://whois.domaintools.com/yahoo.com
- WHOIS Search | ICANN WHOIS [Last visited: 2018-12-27] 需要通過 Google 檢核碼驗證
- Gandi.net - Gandi.net：網域名稱、網頁代管、SSL 憑證與電子信箱
- 全球 WHOIS 查詢 ex: whois: whois365.com[Last visited: 2012-02-11]
- 提供網域名稱的廠商通常會提供這樣的服務，例如Register.com, Yahoo等查詢 .net, .org, .info等網域。以Register.com為例，查詢www.journal.com，查詢結果會列出所有 .com .net .org, .info, 等.均為無法使用(Unavailable)。在journal.org該項，點選whois，可以看到它由Public Online Group註冊，2006/3/1將會失效(expired)。如果2006/3/1它不跟網域名稱廠商續約，網址將會空出來讓其他人可以使用。

瀏覽器直接輸入網址，如果不能連線，不代表該網址沒有被註冊，可能是因為伺服器沒有設定的緣故。
網域名稱購買的費用有註冊費(初次)+管理費(年費)
- NetCraft有時候會做滿完整的比價: Netcraft: Netfirms Cuts Domain Price to $4.95 a Year 2005/2/9
購買網址後，設定完相關資料，尚約需24~48小時讓網域名稱生效，這是因為網域名稱伺服器之間需要交換資料。
