共用財(public goods, 或翻成「公共財」)具有共享性與非排他性兩項特性。

• 共享(non-rival, 或翻成「非敵對性」) / 同用性(concurrent use)
  • 當一個人增加使用或消費一種財貨時，並不會減少別人對這種財貨的使用或消費
• 不可排他(non-exclusive): 不需付出代價方能享有的財貨/服務

	獨享(rival)	共享(non-rival)
可排他(exclusive)	純私有財 ex:個人付費購買的雜誌	ex:圖書館購買(toll access)的線上資料庫, 限制校職員生才能讀取
不可排他(non-exclusive)	ex: 圖書館閱覽區供讀者自由取閱的限量雜誌	純公共財 ex: 公眾近用(public access)的公開典藏、Wikipedia
