Get Google Chrome Version from Command Line

Windows

  1. Open Windows PowerShell
  2. Enter one of the following commands:
```powershell
# Method 1
powershell -command "& {(Get-Item 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe').VersionInfo.FileVersion}"

# Method 2 (shorter)
(Get-Item 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe').VersionInfo.FileVersion
```

Example output:

131.0.6778.265
```

macOS

  1. Open Terminal
  2. Enter the following command[1]:
```bash
/Applications/Google\ Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google\ Chrome --version
```

Example output:

```
