- 可否匯出備份所有文章與迴響
- 服務是否穩定
- (可選) 可以使用自己的網域名稱：如果日後更換Blog服務, 需要更改網址, 將影響Blog文章的靜態鏈結及搜尋排序
- (可選) 可以儲存多媒體, 詳Video Blogs
- (可選) 具開放或私密的讀取權限管理
- (可選) 方便的線上文字編輯介面(WYSWYG)
選擇虛擬主機服務，自行架設blog軟體
- 搜尋 "主機服務名稱 sucks" -- 網友文章的抱怨文
- 建議不要用主機廠商提供的free domain, 有自己的domain會比較好
- 工具 myIPneighbors.com Reverse IP Domain Check DNS Tool: 查同一台機器(shared hosting)上，有多少網站？如果有上千個，就要考慮是否要換其他服務。
