Google Desktop Search 的Plug-in: Larry's Gmail Indexer，若將該帳號純粹訂閱[ Google Alert]或mailist，則可以在GDS 搜尋的Email那項產生新知的典藏。啟用Gmail帳號POP3後，試用時出現該Plugin無法登入取信進而建立索引的狀態。
