Convert pdf to text (txt) file

  • brew install poppler

On Ubuntu:

  • sudo apt install poppler-utils

On Windows:

Verify the installation[edit]

Run one of the following commands in your terminal:

  • which pdftotext — displays the executable path
  • pdftotext -v — shows the version number

Usage[edit]

pdftotext [options] [PDF-file [text-file]]
