RSS是一種XML格式，提供網站最近更新頁面中的資訊

RSS的訂閱
- 使用RSS 閱讀器（RSS Feed Reader, RSS News Aggregator, RSS 種仔閱讀器）或網站服務訂閱 RSS feeds ，同時閱讀多種網站的文章摘要(來源網站可能是Blog 或支援RSS的媒體等。透過RSS 閱讀器，使用者能自行將相同類別或標籤的新聞進行彙整。例如Mozilla Firefox瀏覽器以即時書籤(live bookmarks)呈現網站更新資訊。
- 使用RSS2Email服務(RssFwd : Reading RSS the way you are already reading your emails)，就像訂閱電子報。
