2001年5月，藝立協（elixus.org）的成員在定期聚會時，談到了平時要看的網站太多、資訊太雜，焦點難以集中的這個問題。如果能將每個人關心的資訊來源，包括郵遞論壇（mailing list）、新聞群組（newsgroup）、BBS 看板等等，彙集到同一個網站，讓大家可以交換眉批、共同討論，不是很有趣的事嗎？...
