PGP 回來了！


　　好像是不久前的新聞 (2002-08-19) ，可能已經有人知道了。總之，有人集資
成立了 PGP Cororation ，向 Network Associates 買下 PGP 的所有權利（著作
權、技術、原有的 PGP 客戶合約、支援服務等等），找回原來在 Network
Associates 被解散的 PGP 小組成員，請 PGP 的原作者 Phil Zimmermann 回來做
技術顧問，並將 PGP 恢復為 Open Source 開放原始碼，非商業免費使用的軟體。

　　新版的 PGP 8.0 預計在今年 2002 年 11 月會發行，到時候會支援 WINDOWS
98 、 98SE 、 ME 、 NT SP6a 、 2000 SP2-SP3 、 XP 、 CE 、 Mac OS X 、
PalmOS ，並會支援 Outlook 97-XP 、 Outlook Express 4.x-5.x 、 ICQ
99b-2002 、 Eudora 4.x-5.x 、 Entourage X 、 Apple Mail 。很可惜，目前還
沒有看到重新支援 Linux/BSD/UNIX 的計劃。不過還是很讓人振奮的消息～！
